i broke my stock driveshaft (2-piece) on my 95 3.4 camaro. i have been looking for a new one but i am unable to find any oe driveshafts for my car, ive read on a few sites that a solid driveshaft like on a z28 will fit my car. if not where can i find another stock one? thx

 

Yeah I have heard of people putting one pieces on there V6. I am not sure what is invloved in doing it though. But if you have to replace the drive shaft might as well get a one piece. You could get either one from one of the online f-body junk yards, just do a forum search for junk yards. Theres a couple of them.

 

yeah, 1 peice D/S are for sale all the time on message boards, a lot of the LT1 guys go get an alumnium one from an LS1 and they have the stock steel one sittin around collecting dust ( i got my 1 peice steel DS for 10$)

as for the swap, its a simple removal of the old 2 peice and bolting the 1 peice in, shouldnt take more than 1/2 an hour if you can get the old one out in a timely manner (mine was rusted to the yolk where it enters the pumpkin, so it took a lil persuation from a BFH)

 

will it still be somewhat balanced? isnt the stock one balanced for each car? i was just wondering if it would cause a lot of vibration? thx

 

its balanced.

 

yeah the 1 pc gets you a bit better of a snap and is better but if you want jsut the v6 one i have mine 10$ +shipping
