Angry Strange Noise While in Reverse

Ok, here's the situation I'm in guys. My gf drove the car last night on a dirt driveway that had some very deep holes in it, of course she scrapped the bottom really hard underneath she told me. Banging the bottom, now when the car is in Reverse it shakes really bad and makes a grinding noise while backing up. The Exhaust and the cat shakes only when in reverse. I was thinking it might be a tranny mount. Any ideas what it would be?

put it on jacks and take a look at the mount and if its broke its pretty easy to fix... the first day i bought my camaro it broke or i bought it broken, but if the tranny mount is broke u will notice your engine will bouch from time to time or at least it did that to me when my tranny mount broke

I'll be checking that out tommorow, right now I'm at work but I went out and started the car, no noise until I started driving , when I hit a bump I hear a rattle, so I put the car in reverse since it seems to rattle more so then and used the e-brake, looked under the car and the cat converter was making a noise, put my foot up against it for a sec and the noise went away. So I figure the cat must be a bit lose then. Thanks for the reply Jaswir I'll be checking on that tommorow as well. Is it worth it to replace the cat if it's gone or should I just put in a straight pipe instead?

I just bought a new cat for my maro since mine was broken and rattling like a mother. I was thinking about goin the straight pipe route but was told by a couple ppl that it didn't sound that good on a V6. I'm not sure if this is true or not since i have never heard one myself. What you could do if you have the money is just get the new cat with flanges on either side so you can remove it or replace it at will.
