Question 3.4 Acting up!

I had my 1994 3.4 auto in the shop at the end of October. I was moving so I had my mechanic, whom I trust, look at everything and replace/repair what was necessary. He told me when I picked it up that it was in better shape than most 3.4's he had ever seen, espically at 108,XXX miles!

Anyway, on the way home from work the other day my car did something strange. My trip back from work has a few red lights, I think I stoped at about three of them yesterday and my car did the same thing at each. At each light as I let off the brake and pressed the gas the car revved, not really high, to just over 2000 rpms and there was a, longer than normal, delay before it seemed to be getting any power to the wheels. It did this everything I launched from a complete stop. Well, it has been fine today and I haven't seen anymore problems. The only thing I have changed on my car since the trip to the mechanic at the end of October was my oil, I switched to synthetic.

I know I typically see a small delay between getting on the gas and getting power to the wheels but this one seemed twice as long or longer. Any ideas what could cause this? Is there anything I should be looking for?

Thanks for any help!

Matt

If your revves are comming up but the car isnt moving, it could be something to deal with your tranny.... maybe a torque converter lockup problem or an internal clutch problem. Get someone with a diagnostic computer to check your transmission codes. if you have a laptop and a diagnostic cable, EFI Live can do this, and there's already a module for the v-6 3.4 w/ automatic (I did the v-6 with manual tranny module)
