Talking 2003 Mustang GT

Well i have always seemed to think that a new GT would beat a v6 obvioulsy not...2 days ago my friend just bought a new 2003 mustang GT manual and we wanted to see who would win so last night him and his car my camaro and my friends new chevy extreme we all raced the results being....i beat the extreme the first race, 2nd i beat the gt, his front bumper was my back bumper and then the 3rd race we went to start i pushed on the petal and my car seemed to shut off for a split second i dont know why anybody have any ideas?? Well obviously he beat me on that race...well whatever those GT's have nothing

he was toying with u

GTs have a lot more than nothing...i used to own a warmed up 98 GT and ive driven a 2000 GT and a 99 Cobra. theres now way a 200 bhp 3.8 with exhaust and intake beat a new 5-speed 4.6 unless hes never driven a stick car before....those cars are 260 hp stock and put down about 238 to the wheels from what i remember....5.0 and superford magazine quoted testing a BONE STOCK '02 GT and got 14.2s at 98mph out of it.....then they tuned things like pulling the intake tube assembly off, putting more air in the fronts to decrease rolling resistance and pulling out the jack/donut. the car ran 13.9s at 101.8 with a 60' time of 2.011 sec. now nobody can completely verify the validity of magazine numbers but if u dont believe them u have to admit the real E.T. would be closer to this than the numbers of a 3.8 V6 with some bolt ons...good kill but i have a feeling he aint real familiar with a stick car....be careful when u tangle with new edge GTs.....

Exclamation

I wouldn't get too excited about the fact that you might have beaten him once.

well seeing that he has driven stick his whole life i would have to say he knows what he is doing, i know i would lose after about 65 but thats when about all v6 camaros lose top end thats just a fact and yes a z28 would kill a GT but the mustangs are not all cracked up to be what they say they are...def not satisfied with mustangs, two of my friends have mustangs the new 2003 and an 87 5.0 def not even worried about any mustangs and im sure i will lose to alot of them....but just wait im on my way to a z28

That is pretty hard to believe. Your talking about cars that are considerably more powerful and is just all around much better performance car than yours.

What does your car run? High 15's? A newer manual GT can easily run mid 14's with a crappy driver.

Just because this is an f-bod site does not mean you can make up crap about beating a Mustang.

Are you sure it was not a V6? Even then, the newer ones are even stronger than my fiance's in the sig.
