2000 v6 slow start

i am currently looking at a 2000 mystic teal v6 camaro, and the slow acceleration during low rpms (automatic) worries me, i had it checked for engine problems and there wasn't any... is it normal for it to be sluggish?

same..

i have a 94 V6 auto and its a bit sluggish from 1k to 3k rpms, then it starts to go. Im assuming its common, cause there isnt anything wrong with my car either.

yepp

yeah lol if you want fast, obvious choice is the Z or the SS. But i like the fuel economy of the V6, and im building up the engine slowly so that it will go alittle faster. all and all i love my car to death. lol

Bad thing is my parents have restricted me to a v6, so I have to make the most out of what I'm going to get. Any suggestions for more power?

dam that sucks. Well atleast you got a newer car than me lol i had a 90' thunderbird 3.8, the breaks went on that so i sold it and got my maro. It was all i could afford at the time and now im just running with it. I figure i'll build her up alittle then sell her next year when i have enough for a newer (99-2002) SS,

Im still new to the camaro scene as well, but i have an SLP exaust and im ordering my Cool air intake this week. I have some issue with my body, the lady that had the car before me got into a few accidents, my door has a HUGE crack in it and my rear bumper is cracked as well. So im trying to get everything together, so i can get a re=paint later this year. But from what ive been siggested, start out with a cold air intake and exaust. taht'll boost you atelast 20hp and better throattle response. If anything you'd be able to stomp on some civics lol i do it everyday

but yeah man, exaust and CAI, bolt ons as well.

thanks, I figured out that once i hit 45 or so, the automatic goes into overdrive and then it can really go, hah P.S. bought the camaro today, great condition only few cosmetic problems! (Busted center console and a few cracks in passenger door panel)
