With the 3.4, you will get a code 70 something (3 of them) for the three solenoids in the EGR. If you are not getting the SES light, I doubt the problem is EGR related.

Did it work?

Just FYI, the wholesale price for a new tube is less than $20

it worked for 2 drives to town. then the light came back. can i get this tube at autozone or do i have to go to dealer? i've got a spare one from the new/used engine i had to buy, but it looks just as bad as the one on the car now before i cleaned it. btw what exactly is sea foam? i always thought it was a candy my grandma used to make..................

i tried to clean the ****ing pipe. i used carb cleaner and i dont even think it was clogged. i ran som wire through it and it seemed really open. i took off the vavle and cleaned to it from the pipe. i couldnt get the stupid gaskets from the dealership so i used the old ones. im still gettin the same symptoms including the *** smell and im more pissed cuz its the same or maybe worse after i spent 2 hours on it. i had the same problem on a grand am i had. i cleaned the passage to it and it worked fine for a while then the light came back on. i even bought a new egr for it but it didnt help because the pipe was clogged so i took it back. after the pipe was cleaned it worked for about 4 or 5 months and then had the same problem so im guessing that cleaning the passage will help but you will still need the valve. i guess i need to buy new gaskets and try again? i dont wanna spend $170 at advance auto parts for a new one. **** emissions.
