1997 3.8 5-speed handling
I have a v6 97 camaro and it handles dam good I can take about any curve that is not 90 degrees at about 60mph without squealing tires (tire size 17 by 8.5) and being in my lane. my friend has a 90+ model 2.3 BMW and he thinks he can out handle me and beat me in a race

go autocross and find out...
there are so many variables its not even funny.
I have a 2000 newer then yours but I had orginal shocks. I just put in a set of bilsteins and comparing my car to how it used to be to how it is now is a night and day difference. Not even remotely the same.
you likely don't even know what shocks, springs, or bars you have.
Go to a autocross race, see whos time is faster. And even then it doesn't matter as much who car handles better but which car has the better driver, something that is more fun to compete with.
because its simple which car is faster and handles better..... its the guy with more money.

he (2.3 BMW auto) thinks he can beat me in a drag race
he says he beats mustang gts.
my car handles good I think its stock except for slp cold air intake and the rear sway bar looks different maybe someone had it put on before i got the car.
who would win in a stoplight race?
who would win in a road race?
no dragstrip or road course near where i live.
