11" clutch disk? flywheel change?

would it be possible to use an 11" clutch disk (as opposed to the stock 9 11/16" disk) with my current pressure plate and flywheel? Or maybe swap my flywheel as well with an 11"?

any info appreciated

I don't think that will fit in the bell housing,

why would you want to do that anyway? there are plenty of clutches out there that can handle any power.....

money may be tight but personally I would avoid used clutches, I was tight on money and ended up with a oem replacement, still grips better then my old one.

I can't rember but are 3.4L externally balance, maybe I am mixing it up with a 2.8L?

if it is, you are going to have to fit a coutner weight on the bigger flywheel assuming it does fit, and that may cost mroe then a centerforce dual frictoin for a 3.4L.

god I wish I still had the site, it ws some site liek automotive international or someting you had to go to the centerforce site to get the part number then search there inventory with the centerforce part number, they had a dual friction for like $280. 2-3 months ago

sorry man. thats not true. the 1993-1997 LT1 has 26 splines on the T56 tranny that fits onto it. the T-5 on our cars has 26 splines. ive looked into it (as a possible swap in)

the 3.4 is INTERNALLY balanced.

an 11" flywheel WILL NOT fit under the bellhousing. save up and get a nice OEM clutch or a Centerforce if you want performance.

not much more you can do.
