0-60?
Whats the stock 0-60 of a '95 3.4? Just wondering.
Our are cars really that slow? Last night I raced a Stealth Twin Turbo, surprising i stayed side by side while i was in 3rd but 2 seconds later he pulled ahead of me like I was stopped LOL, hehehe it was a good try atleast!
I have a K&N in my car but thats about it. What kinda cars can I beat? It's almost summer so I wanna go throw down the gauntlets, well atleast to ones that I can win!

It's around 8-9 seconds. There's not much a 3.4 can beat, but then again sometimes it will come out and take on a great deal of cars. It's a heavy car with a small motor. Mods will help you though
If you just race to 60 then you should be good. The 3.4 out-torques all the imports by a mile and you should be leaving them off the line.Good luck with your car, some 3.4's have hit 15's with just a couple of bolt-ons.
That's the saddest thing I've ever heard! 0-60 in 9 seconds wow! I thought it would of been more around 7. Oh well, time to look for a new car! Maybe a 944 Turbo or 300zx...lol Thanks for the replies guys. Guess I know to pick my races carefully, I'll be looking for rusted out 80s- mustangs!

Cool the airbox mod does sound like it will help alot. But I think ill wait til the Fall and try and sell my little pony and buy a real horse (Z28). They arnt that much more expensive than a v6 right? I hope to sell my car for about 14500 cnd. Can I get a Z28 with that?
my friends 94 3.4L can get my 99 3.8 off the line, but once we get to about 45 MPH i pull away from him. He only likes to do wussy races.....to the speed limit, so he claims that his car is faster than mine. I just laugh. (Still wish I an SS)
Why bother buying a Z28 and suffer higher insurance premiums? Use the extra money and add some bolt ons, Want quick power, why not opt. for a tubo/ supercharger? But remember, with a supercharger, you need new headers, piston rings, and some other small modifications to the engine.
A stock Z28 (with the SS package). A good driver can go 12.9 ET in stock trim right down to the Eagle GS tires. If you don't know what you're doing and have an automatic, you'll still go 13.5 et.
Just FYI, a Stealth Twin Turbo had 320 horsepower compared to your 160 HP, so double your horsepower. No wonder he pulled from you. Dodge Stealths' and Mitsubishi 3000GT's with the VR-4 or R/T Turbo packages were no joke. AWD 320 horse and 315 ft-lbs of torque. They did suffer from weight at 3,671 but I still believe that's a far better power to weight ratio than our cars.
