I have a 1988 Camaro RS with a 2.8 liter engine and a 5 speed transmission. The transmission mount broke on my car. I went to 7 different places and at each place they had the wrong kind of mount for my car. So i called the dealership and they said that it was a special kind of mount that they only made for a certain amount of time starting in 1988. They wanted $300 for the mount. Needless to say i was slightly reluctant to purchase the mount. If anyone has any suggestions i would gladely appreciate it.

 

$300 for a tranny mount???

Does that come with vaseline too???

Call a different dealership....or even if need be...call a couple boneyards....but dont pay $300 for a mount!

post in the 3rd gen section, I am sure 305 guys with 5-speeds are in the same boat.

Wierd form what I understand all mounts 82-02 were interchangeable.
