Well I am cruising down the highway and this older civic comes up next to me all i think it had was a bunch of bees in a can. It had 3 people in it. We get caught at a red light. The passanger rolls his window down and looks over and asked me if that old bird could keep up and everyone in there car started laughing. I was sarcastic and said "well i think this car has had it's wings clipped". they laughed and the guy reved up his car. The light turns green and he floors it i just give it about half gas. Pull out in front. Then I slowed down and let him catch up to me. When he did it I floored it and was gone....this is where thing get good. I finally just down at 90 and as i look in the reveiw mirror i see headlight at first i thought it was a cop but..no blue lights. I finally get to a red light and i see the light switch lanes and comes up becide me. It was a newer 03 or 04 Mustang. It had a body kit and was loud first thing i noticed was the word ROUSH down the side. That point I about crapped myself...then he started to rev it up....it sounded bad a$$. I threw a rev back. light turns green. I get good traction hardly no spinning a really good launch..I look over and see his tailights. I only went to 70 and quit. Buy then he was gone.

My hat's off to that stang.

I wonder if it was a stage three. What ever he had he kicked my a$$.

How much horsepower does a Stage 3 Roush Mustang have?

 

Not sure on exact hp (somewhere around 350 I think)...MM&FF ran one to a 12.9 w/ dr's i believe...nothing a LS1 w/ a few mods cant take out, but yea they will kill a stock LT1...good runs.

How can you tell what stage it is, (if there is a way you can tell), because I beat a roush by two car lengths a while back but I didn't know what stage it was. He also had a loud exhaust as mentioned earlier. It was a cocky older guy driving it so it felt good when I beat him. So yeah can you tell what stage it is?

the v-6's can get the stage one, which I think is ground effects, maybe side exhaust. I dont know what stage 2 is and 3 is a supercharger. THe whine will give that away.
