My friend is taking his moms 1984 Corvette out tonight and wants to race me for $20. This car is BONE STOCK and has the 4+3 manual tranny and my friend isn't the best shifter. He thinks his vette has the same LT1 engine as me, he's not too bright. We are probably going from a 20mph roll. So what do you see happening?

You've got to be kidding.That 84 ,if stock,has crossfire (ceasefire)injection and was terrible when new.Unless he's lying about whats under the hood,you will MURDER him.BTW,those were rated at 205 HP if i am not mistaken.

 

I'm pretty sure it has the TPI 350 rated at 225hp, no? And i'm 110% positive the car is bone stock. BTW, his mom isn't hot by any means but she does know how to drive that car well.

it's rated at 205 HP. even if it was at 225 HP, that Vette would have to be as light as a CRX to even have a go at you!

Wrong. It's not Tuned Port, it's Cross-Fire. Cross-fire is basically a system of electronically controlled carburetors. Anyway, an LT1 F-Body is faster than ANY L98 car too. Stock of course.

 

No. M/T L98 Vettes were a damn good race with all but the ringer LT1 F-bodies.
