ok so a few nights ago i raced a 02 A4 TA stock cept for a CAI from a stop and lost. Well i raced the same kid last year when he didnt have the intake and i didnt have the LT's and y-pipe and i did much better the that time then i did just a few days ago. I have beaten an LS1 before and it was a modded Z28 M6 and the kid could drive and i can drive fairly well too. But back to the question, now granted i had a sh*ty launch, lack of traction, but i couldnt catch up to him worth a crap, he kept pullin up til bout 115 and he had bout 2 1/2 cars on me??? Can you guys tell me what went wrong? Or what i did wrong? I thought that this could be a win for me, but i didnt talk any trash so i didnt get it back in my face at all. But what the heck! I was pretty pissed

 

With your rwhp and rwtq numbers, I wouldn't expect to pull that well on a LS1. Many of them are running 290 rwhp stock.

A bad launch makes it very difficult to catch up to him as well.

Put a cam in there, and don't worry about it.

i know...but im for sure over 300 rwhp, who knows coulda been a factory freak!

 

you should be right around 300RWHP with the LTs.The LS1 should be right around there as well.

 

on paper you guys are equal...

add in your bad launch and that he has some intake work...what's so hard to beleive about you losing?

a bad launch at the track can easily rob you of .3 or more. not to mention the ls1 pulls harder on the top end.

get some better tires

 

LOL it wont pull any harder if theyre putting out the same power

 

Evevn w/ your mods theres stil alot of stock ls1's that can pull you, especially 01-02's...good runs though
