The much anticipated race went down Friday evening. I got the '99 SS out of the garage and drove her up there. This guy was still talkin' shat about my '96. I asked the guy what he had again, he said it's a race, it doesn't matter! I said that's cool dude let's give my SS a shot. We drove over to the local dragstrip ( two lane road in between two cotton fields, marked off by a large oak tree and some railroad tracks) I live in Arkansas....give me a break! We lined up 'em up, I lit 'em up to get 'em sticky as did he. Ole gal stood in the middle to give the signal. I revved up to around 2800 and launched, I hooked instantly and was ahead by almost a car, hit second and pulled another car, third in my car is a beast, now I'm walking his @$$, hit 4th a little over 100 and he was about 4 to 5 cars back. Passed the oak tree at almost 120 and slowed. Met him in town later at Sonic and he was asking what I had. I said stock, all stock! He smiled went over and popped his hood. So for Steve and all who were wondering, here's what he's got.
