vs mercedes AMG

last night we ran into a mercedes amg and the guy wanted to race. so we did 1 run up to about 120 mph we had him on the launch and started pulling away, but then he pulled like a car on us, we were at his tail lights. so then we did another run and the guy in the mercedes wanted to prove to me he was stock, so i rode in his car and my friend drove my TA. this time i watched as my own car had the mercedes on the launch and kept pulling and won. so idk what happened the first time, but the 2nd was a good kill. also idk much about mercedes, but the driver said it was a v8 w/360 horse. a fun race though and the owner was cool.

Re: vs mercedes AMG

nice kill. AMGs can handle their own on the road.

I had a race with an E55 AMG which is the short SUV type, AWD w/ 360 HP.
I was in my velle and he launched hard on me while I spun bad. He got 5 lengths on me before I even started to move. No excuses here, he won, traction is everything in a street race. But at the next light I had a 2nd chance as this black dude and girlfriend were laughing pretty good at us. I said that's fine; let's do it again.. He said "sure". I spun again as he launched the hell out of his SUV. He only got 1 length on me that time and by the middle of second, I had 5 lengths on them !! Me and my friend threw some smiles back at them this time with thumbs up all around !
BTW, this was when my velle was only running 13.1.

Again bro, good kill !

E55 is the E-class AMG sedan that will give a Z06 a run for its money (04+).

The SUV thing is the G55 for 04 it had:
Standard Engine 5.5L V8
Standard Transmission 5 Speed Automatic
Cylinders 8
Horsepower 349@5500RPM
Torque 387@ 3000RPM

it got supercharged for 05 and will have:
MSRP TBA
Engine AMG-built supercharged 5.5L 24-valve V-8 engine
Net Power 469 hp @ 6,100 rpm
Net Torque 516 lb-ft @ 2,650 - 4,500 rpm
The thing still weighs 5540lbs though.

Re: vs mercedes AMG

My GF's boss has an E55 and its NICE. The thing hauls major *** and is a really beautifully built car. Without knowing what the badging meant, someone could easily think its some slow fancy looking sedan.... until you come beside it at a light

Yea, that was the beast ! the older G55.
The new 05 sounds like an @sskicker and I wouldn't mind racing one now that my car is running nice numbers !!

When I am cruising around and see any AMG vehicle; I always give them the respect they deserve!
