Now can I come play ?
I dont have one problem with the "mustang" owners because most of them have been F-body brethren before. Plus they offer a more biased opinion which usually has huge traces of estrogen because they purchased a car designed/catered towards women.

I wonder if there are this many fbody owners on mustang websites? I know i have never been to one. I know they are bitter, i would be if i owned a new $30,000 car and just got beat by a $5000,12 year old car. Oh well atleast they sound fast. Why dont all you assclowns go back to your mustang sites and brag how your new car just whipped up on a 91 rs camaro.

The only thing similar is that they run the same 1/4 mile times. The cars are completely different, one a two seat sports car with an IRS, the other a 4 seat pony car with a solid rear axle and a lot more weight. Their markets are totally different.

I was also under the impression that the 03-04 Cobras were supposed to compete with the C5 Z06's.
Bill Ford said that it was made specifically as an LS1 F-body killer, but the F-body died the same year it was released (2002).

And if youre going to add cars that nobody mentions, what of the '02 ZL-1 camaro. IIRC, it had an N/A LS-6 based 427 pushing 600hp. Granted only 3 particular version of that ZL-1 were produced and had a $90K price tag but what the hell.
What he was referencing is true. If you only went by here you would think there were only V-6's and 300 hp GT's available.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Saleen is its own company. Saleen is to Mustang as Lingenfelter is to Corvette or Yenko is to Camaro. They just mod already manufactured cars.
Saleens are sold on Ford dealer lots with full warranty and can be financed through motor credit. They are considered a manufacturer.

...10 years later
Again, if you went by here you would conveniently forget that there have been Mustangs competing for the last 10 years. 500 hp Mustangs are nothing new, the S351 was doing it around 1995.

Let me know if you need help installing your "Type R" badge, Altezza tail lights, Neon underground lights and shopping cart wing then.
As far as every performance option under the sun goes, the Mustang is second to none including Honda. I wish my LT1 had 1/4 of the options that the fuelie 5.0 has for instance. The directions you can go are mind numbing. The modular engine is not as far along but there is quite a bit out there for it as well.

Most of us have owned both and are adults, you apparently are not. It seems like every few months some newb with his head up his *** tells all of the people who own or have owned Mustangs that they need to leave.
I owned a 90 LX for 9 years with an AOD that would have raped your car (or my current 95Z). Even people like SSlither used to own a Mustang. Maybe you are the one that is bitter?
