turbo lt1 vs. supra

so i am a nobie but i own a 94 z with a forged 383 lt1, th400, etc. with a sts turbo system. i pulled up to the light today in my town, orem utah, and had a silver supra next to me. the light went green and i punched it, and so did he. i launched him and pulled a car everytime he shifted. come to find out he had 600rwhp. then we went from 30 mph, and i beat him again. feelin pretty good about being me right now.

Re: turbo lt1 vs. supra

So two 130+ mph cars raced each other from a couple of redlights? Meanwhile, this is a car with no pics, no further info, no nothing but a paragraph? That description sounds like two 15-sec cars going at it. Somehow I picture a street encounter between two 600+ whp cars to be a little more "violent".

You're gonna have to show a little more proof before anybody really believes that story. Six hundred horsepower is fast.

Re: turbo lt1 vs. supra

no pics i am a nobie dont even have a camera, but think what you will about the story just felt like sharing it. my car has been a work in progress for a year now. so big day for me.
track times, the only time i took it to the track up here was the day i got the motor in, the torque conterver had issues, traction etc but it went 12.9 @106 this is in utah at 4800 elevation. not too impressive. i have since put a new converter in and given it a tune and it runs alot better, have not ran it again because the track is closed up here, but hoping to get down to vegas in november, and get a dyno i am hoping to put about 600rwhp and 7-750 rwtq

600 rwhp through a TH400? Keep dreaming, especially with the STS system.

Re: turbo lt1 vs. supra

600hp isnt always fast from a stop especially if its a 600 hp supra. I believe it as long as this guys camaros runs somewhere in the 11s and didnt spin all over the place. a stroked, turboed Lt1 can be insane, im suprised he didnt beat the supra worse then he did.

Re: turbo lt1 vs. supra

i dont really believe it either, but my question is why cant put 600 horse thru a th400? i dynoed 567hp/611tq at the wheels, thru a tci street fighter trans, and a 10bolt rear end in my 77. ok i am only a few ponys short of 600, but my tq is more then there, and i've sprayed the car aswell. i

Re: turbo lt1 vs. supra

Hey buddy, if you want these people to believe you have this car with all it's mods then you really should get some diggy pics or better yet, a video on the web. If you really do have this ride then I give you props because I think almost anyone on this board would love to have that setup !!!
So post up some good stuff and ad a signature too.

Heavy

PS- good kill if it really happened.

Re: turbo lt1 vs. supra

oh ya why cant you get 600 though a th400? isnt the reason for going to a th400 to give cars with more than 500hp a chance. god knows though 4l60e's just cant hold it i know!!
please any input would be great
i am not trying to call anyone a liar but to simply get your opinion and reasioning for that opinion
thanks
