Took my 02' LS1 to the 1/8 mile Track Today

Today was my first time at the 1/8 mile track with my new Z28.

Only mods are a lid and 3" cut out. So I'm pretty much stock.

I spun out of the hole almost every time. My 245 street tires were horrible. I pretty much had to roll it out at half clutch to make a decent pass. I broke it loose going into 2nd almost every pass as well. So there is defiantly room for ET improvement with some traction.

One run I broke it loose twice in 1st and then half assed it to the finish line and ran an 11.60

I raced my buddy in his bone stock '07 GT all afternoon and ran around him every time. He always got me out of the hole but I would pass him once I got into 2nd. It is sick how these LS1 cars start flying in 2nd and 3rd gear. I ran TBSS as well and the result was much like the GT.

Anyway here are some of my better times.
60': 2.36
1/8 mile: 8.95
1/8 MPH: 83.0 mph

60': 2.34
1/8 mile: 8.89
1/8 MPH: 79.6 mph

Best Run
60': 2.13
1/8 mile: 8.59
1/8 MPH: 85.3mmph

My best I got it to hook a bit better for whatever reason.

Anyway I just thought I would share my first track times with the new Z.

Your first two runs were eh just looking at those 60s but the last one started to show your power. With a set of slicks or even DRs I see you being at the top of the 12 second bracket.
