"That supra owner did more mods to his car than the mustang owner did."

Not by a long shot. Supra has stock head, stock shortblock, stock rear, stock trans etc...

Mustang is a bad *** ride however-with more fuel and boost it will be unreal.

Gotta love those Supras Mike, did you ever get a MKIV? I remember you joined the list way back when, but I never saw much from you. We used to chat when I posted here under "rocket"....

Looks like your mkiii is a screamer though!

Hey Jason! Been some time!
Yes I did. A 98 TT. Stock as stone with very low miles. I don't have the heart to mod it.

Re: SVB Supra vs Built blown mustang.

I'm sooo jealous. I've been bouncing from one car to another trying to find something I like as much as the Supra but haven't found anything yet. Hopefully they'll be back in my price range soon. I can't believe you haven't done a bleeder T or something at least. Doesn't it kill you to know there's another 50 hp just sitting there waiting for you?

Re: SVB Supra vs Built blown mustang.

It has 13,766 miles on it-still has plastic wrap on the back. I paid in the 20,000s for it so I might sell it after sitting on it for a while. Its mint and all original. I just can't mod it. Almost as nice as my GTS Corolla(see homepage).

For others-Rocket got on here back in 98 saying to watch out for TT Supras when modded. He was flamed because people laughed. Guess who had the last laugh?

Re: SVB Supra vs Built blown mustang.

If you think about selling it, PM me please. I've been looking for a deal for ages, but everything I've seen is still in the high 20's for a 94-95. I can't bring myself to pay that much for a 10 year old car. Sounds like you got a helluva deal! Congrats.

I did get the **** flamed outta me on this site and the Corvette site....the Corvette guys got so worked up when I told them the Supra would handle a C5 that they somehow got my private information and started calling my house and emailing me death threats...it got crazy for awhile. Now they know I wasn't just talking ****....the Supra was and still is the car to beat.

Be good,
Jason

Re: SVB Supra vs Built blown mustang.

Yeah, that was before corvetteforum.com....back when it was called Dobb's Corvette forum. I wasn't even acting like a ricer (me and my whole family are into vettes) I just told them that my Supra laid the smackdown on my bro's C5....which was true. It just escalated from there until the forum actually got shut down because it was so bad.

See ya

I gotta hand it to your - all your cars are amazing. I'd be first in line for that GTS too. For the record, I don't give a damn about drifting. Those idiots have ruined the market for the GTS hatch. If you ever sell it I've got to know about it. It'd be worth the drive to me. My first car was a dark blue 80 Corolla hatch and the 85 is the pinnacle of that design. I miss my 3TC; it was a 5spd but *not* an SR5 designation. It had the 1.8 emblem on back and a 5spd logo right beside it. I'd still have it if it hadn't been totaled by someone pulling in front of me ~ 15 years ago.

I'm also a Supra fan. My brother has an 89 Supra (NA, owned since 93, soon to be reborn as a massive 7MGTE monster) and just recently sold his 94 Supra (single, stall, 11.7 @ 124 @ 19 psi on pump). Thanks to the Supra market he was offered more than he'd spent on the car plus mods so he took it & bought a house.

Anyway, I'm dead serious on the 85. Jot down my name somewhere in the "just in case" file and drop me a PM or email if it ever goes on the market.

Re: SVB Supra vs Built blown mustang.

The AE86 is a 1986 model. I was offered 7500 for it by a kid that could not even drive a stick and sold it. Its gone and probably hacked up by now

My first car was a 1980 SR5 hatch with NO options(see other car's homepage). I traded it in on a 1987 GTS Celica. I am a dumbass.

Thanks for the compliments.
