Yes I didnt know such a thing existed either, but I just ran one. We lined up at about 40ish, I took the hit cause well I have an a4 in an lt1 so roll races arent my strong suit and i just wanted to go while it was clear. so i hit it. when i started i was at the back of his front fender so we werent exactly even. so as i hit he does the same, i jumped out so that his nose was at my door he stayed there and maybe even creeped up just a bit but every time he shifted he would lose a little ground then make it up by the end of the gear. it stayed that way to around 110 when we shut it down.
so i meet up with the kid, turns out that he has a turbo, which i already knew obviously, at 8.5 psi exhaust turbo back no cats and all the supporting mods. anyone have an idea what kind of power that would make i know they start with 171 crank. i am sure he would have been no problem from a dig but i was impressed.

Yea those things in stock form are peppy at best...Ex wife had a 5spd w/ exhaust and a air filter and the thing after 40 fell on its fact hard...I think the supercharger from trd through the factory only adds like 30hp or something lol.

The smaller 4 banger cars like this TC or Civic, Spectra, Elantra, Sentra, etc all have 200HP engines or less. But once they get boosted properly by a torbo system, they get anything from 30-80% power increase.
For instance this TC with a 12psi turbo setup should make around 299HP. So with this kind of HP in a car that weighs less than 2900 lbs makes for a "PEPPY" ride.

Thats why every one needs to run some sort of power adder so they dont get beat by these economy cars. LOL
