Well my mom and I were out to eat and were on our way back home. Sitting at a light next to us is a 95ish lumina Z34. I really didnt think he wanted to race or anything but the light turned green. I took off like normal untill I realized he was on it. So naturally I peg the gas. He continues to gain on me like a bat outta hell. With my mom laughing her *** off in the passenger seat I shut down. I was about ready to die, I was so embarrassed. First thing I said to my mom was im gettin rid of this. Even though this is no v8 race, I just thought I would share. And yes, we v6ers like to race to...even if it takes a while to get past the intersection.

By the way, what do these luminas have? isnt it like a 3.4 DOHC with 215 hp?

 

I believe thats right, whats your 3.4 make stock? Isn't it like 160hp or something? Thats alot of ground to make up.

 

Yeah it has 160 stock, with exhaust and k&n id prolly get like 10 more hp out of that.

 

Don't beat yourself up over it, the odds were stacked against you in this situation.

 

Get yourself a v8.

 

Tey are quick... especially froma roll. My bro had a 94 GTP same car pretty much just a Grand Prix, from a dig, I woudl take him in my 3.4L, but if we ever did a highway roll from 40ish on, he woudl have taken me with ease.

don't feel too bad, just smile when he has to replace his alternator.

 

yeah its just that I saw that Lumina badge really quick, and that killed it! Just hopefully I get a Z this summer!
