Street racing.....
Street racing.....
First let me start out by saying this is about ‘street racing’. So if you are offended or don’t condone it you need go no further. So where do all of you guys do your street racing…? Not names of locations, but how do you handle it and what kind of results do you have. Here’s what I mean…. I’ve been doing it on and off for the last 25years. The town I grew up in was a smaller midwestern town that had a nice four-lane highway North of town with minimal traffic. Any given Friday or Saturday night we could race for an hour or two at a time without worrying about law enforcement. We might have 20-30 spectators and all was well. Now lets move to 2005, I’m in a large metropolitan city. Races are ran at Midnight at the same spot they have been for years. No one wants to change this…I DON”T KNOW WHY?? Everyone gets there, a hundred or so, and one race gets off (sometimes) before law enforcement arrives and runs everyone off. Its in a industrial parkway, two lanes and IMO very poor area and dangerous (which all racing is!!!) Is this common in the big cities?? Just curious…I’m all for driving the 5-10 miles extra knowing more than one race can get off. When did racing start? The day the second car was made!!
Re: Street racing.....
I just race any car sometimes i go at stoplights if a car pulls up along side me which is pretty fun but cant really get up to the high speads otherwise I drive like 5-10 min. to a back road, I live in a small town, and I dont have any problem with law enforcement but sometimes the nerby houses call the cops but thats very rare and we make sure to drive away after the race. I would say to try and find a small highway later at night like 2 am would probably work better.
