93 Trans Am

alright.. so last night i pull up to this gas station for no reason in particular and find that theres a clean 35th anniversary SS alone at a pump.. so i wait for a good 15 minutes for the owner to come out and then he finally does.. so i ask him if he wants to race and he said that he doesnt do that anymore(i would say hes early-mid forties)... and i said alright well i like ur car.. then he took off.. and i took off right behind him.. and he slowed down wanting to race.. so we lined up and he accidentally took off too early.. so we lined up again going about 40 mph.. then we take off at like exactly the same time.. he had the A4 and i have the M6 so i took him for about 20 feet and thought holy **** im beating an ls1.. and then BLAM!.. he passed me.. i would say if it were in the 1/4 mile he would have had me by about 3 1/2 to 4 cars.. this was the first race i have ever lost (yes the race seen sux here)... and i was sure glad that i lost it to another F-Body

EDIT: also.. after the race we stopped and talked and i found out that he was a pastor.. i myself am a firm believer in chrisitanity but i had 2 friends with me.. one was agnostic and was a hindu.. he spent AT LEAST 45 minutes trying to convince them to believe in Jesus.. too bad he didnt win them over

Sounds like the good old LT1 running outa breath up top. Shoulda raced from a stop you would have fended a little better.

Kinda like me and my g/f, I have a stone stock 94 Z28, She has a 01 z28 no power anything. We both have a4's with 2.73's. We hit the drag strip and were even till 2nd gear then she left me like i was sitting still. I ran a 9.5 she ran a 8.5. We had 2.0 60's.
