i could be wrong but i saw an article a year or so back about them being like the supra. some years awd, some not.

Maybe he had a VCD controller so he can transfer all his torque to the back wheels .

you are probably right. just seen a few in magazines, figured they were sold like that, let me go diggin' see if i can find the publications on them, in the meantime i was looking on e-bay for them, got some nice ones on their this week, one running in the 10's without the nos. but has it anyway. wondering if i should bid on that instead of my cars upgrades.

Yea, Supras were never AWD unles someone made a custom one.

And maybe these guys did like 2F2F Skyline and converted it to RWD so it could do all of the 'cool' stunts and only run a 14.2

Not all skylines are AWD, nor are they all turbocharged. There are some versions that are just RWD, and even some with 4 doors. They can also converted by their owners to rwd.
