Saturday night the finacee & I were on our way to Big John's - a local watering hole - to meet w/ some of her co-workers , one of which was having a b-day party.

I am heading north on Dairy Ashford slightly after West Airport - it's a 4 lane divided concrete road. I am just cruising - 45 to 50 in a 45 zone - and see these headlight & foglghts coming up on me.

So, I move over into the left lane to let him come, and see what it is - aaah , a GT !

At any rate, he guns it going by me, but the light up front is turning red.

Heh heh ! Gentlemen, we have a line up !

I turn at look at him, and he looks at me. We kinda give "the nod" , and life is good. Robin ( the finacee ) is kinda paranoid - " Oh, we are in The Meadows ! These cops are harsh ! "

So, the light turns green, and I am off like a shot ! great launch, no wheelspin, and way too far in front - the guy ain't trying, I guess.

So, I let off & coast , doing slightly under 30. Meathead in the GT apaprently floored it after the fact and is trying to do a sucker flyby.

I don't think so, Tim !

I floor it, and it drops down into first & goes ! We catch up to him and pass him by at 70 , at which time I call it done & let off.

I tell Robin :

"Boy, he needs to bring some more HP to the party if he wants to run ! "


Weird - I get like zero races in 2 months, and then as soon as Robin gets in the car w/ me ...


At any rate, I couldn't see letting him get away w/ the ricer trick , although Robin had some questions.

Nicely done, I have had many races go like that, you blow by them they try the old flyby, then you pull on them again and your thinkin "go the hell home, youve been beat."

sweet, i had someone try a flyby the other day. only he ran a redlight in the process and a cop was making a left at the light he just ran. i cruised by, honked and waved. it was already pathetic, i beat a older civic dx with my 95 blazer 4.3

nice work sir, i just love it when somebody does a flyby and they happen to end up next to you at the next light..... many seem to all of a sudden be "humble" and not run after their previous antics.

 

I just think racing when a loved one is in the car is just stupid. Na just joken, nice kill, I wish a gt would race me for once. I live in a college town and it seems that all the guys here are female genitallia.
