Schooled a Skyline...

I was driving around town when I this guy passes me in right-hand drive import! At first I had no idea what it was, but then I figured it out. He had a HUGE fart can, of course. So I pull up closer to him. There is no traffic in front of him but there's a truck not to far in front of me. As the speed limit increases heading of out town I hear him gun it! I punch my car in 2nd and get the back end a little sideways but nothing too bad. I pull around the truck and hit 3rd and scream by him like he was driving a VW Golf! I thought those cars were supposed to be fast?!?! It turns out he just started working where I work, so I'll be asking a few more questions about his car!

Then as I am coming back into town, I pull up behind a completely riced out Cavalier...complete with body kit and massive wing. I figured the guy had spend quite a lot of $$ so maybe he had done something under the hood as well. When the light turns green I pull up beside him and give her a little gas. He completely ignored me...as though he couldn't hear me, which is impossible with my exhaust at higher rpm's. So I just took off went home. Then I actually felt kinda bad for him...he had spent all this money on his Cavalier and made it look 'fast', but yet when it came down to racing he had to turtle and pretend I didn't exist!! Poor guy!

skylines are fast...for what they are...

but against a 360rwhp fbody from a role...not much of a chance if it was stock...although from a stop he may give you a run for your money.

If he's your buddy from work, post some pics of his Skyline. It would be interesting to see which one he has.

Sparkz28ss ~ I dont know why but that post reminded me of the part in 2F2F where he asked the dork cop what motor would be best for his Nissan.

I never seen a Skyline around here. There are never any nice cars in Pgh though.

Re: Schooled a Skyline...

It's not a bad looking car...nice body lines! But when it comes down to it, it's still (just) a ricer and a lot of fun to walk on!!

the dept. of treasury has them for under 3k when the auction them off.. good luck trying to get a clear title and reg., let alone insurance... guess you could go the "kit car" route...

Re: Schooled a Skyline...

Some guy around here has an R33 GT-R, and I'm trying to figure out how the hell he did it. There used to be a company that could import and legalize those cars, but last I heard they had been out of business for a few years.

My favorite body style is the R33, and I'd love to have one! They're not very expensive in Japan, just kind of funny how much people pay (or would pay if they could) to have one here.

Nice kill.
