Im guessing it was a 2008 or so. Looked brand new.

Cruising at about 60 on the highway and this guy with gold all around his neck pulls onto the highway and pulls up next to me and gives me the "my car is faster then yours" look and down shifts and slowly starts pulling away from me (im still cruising). We get around a few turns and have a good 2 miles of straight road. I pull up next to him at about 70 and down shift, my tires let out a loud screeeeaaach. Guy down shifts and hits it, i hit it a little late and he is a car in front of me. I pull on him pretty quickly and as i pass him he looks over surprised as i wave good bye. When i have about 1 car on him he hits the brakes, i let off and see that i am at 130 mph.
I slow back down to 65-70 and he wont pull up next to me again....

His car was quicker then i though it would be.

 

I'll bet he's over on the Sky forums posting something similar...

... or, more likely, he's over there posting about how he almost beat an LS1.

 

WOW, from 70-130 you only had 1-2 car lengths with a cc306, long tubes, and ported heads?! ---

 

Welcome to the LT1. You probably screeched your accessory belt.

 

a well set up CC306, ported head, full bolt on LT1 should be around 20mph faster in the 1/4 than a SKY... either your car has one or more issues or his car was not stock
