race question

my friend drives a 1991 plymouth laser rs (5 speed), with a stock turbo. apparently he's getting a new longblock, and he'll be running 24psi of boost on non-racing fuel ... that seems like a lot, but idk. anyways, he says he'll be making about 275hp, which im not sure if i believe.
i drive a 2002 z28 automatic. the only mod i have is a hooker cat-back. so, will i be able to pull it off?

Re: race question

You have a decent chance since most of those modded lasers are in the 13s and 12s....They can run (and do all the time ) faster but they are not too common. Go race and see....if he whips ya then go dump some cash into your car...you can do heads, cam, exhaust and torque conv AND that'll put you in the 11s for sure! If he beats you then than throw a 100 shot on there !

good luck

Re: race question

sorry but i dont think the lazer has a chance in hell of beating an LS1 camaro. More horse power, more torque....granted more wieght but if that lazer is AWD like the GSX or TSI then the camaro dont wiegh much more than those. A GSX wieghs close to 3300 lbs.
