Question about a kill Me vs. older vette

Ok i took my car out while i was doing some work on it and getting it ready for paint. A civic wanted to to play so i gave it some gas and obviously it just had a fart can since he was so far back. The next thing i ran into was a older vette around early 90's to 96ish i think, he kept going in and out of traffic till we hit a light together. At the light I let him go off the light and he got about 1.5 cars in front before i started to go and i got into it kinda easy till like 15 or so and then i went and put what was about 8 cars on him going up a small hill in about 1/4 (just guessing at this but it was close to 1/4ish)which i shut down around 100-110 or so. Now with my mods is that about right ? Some info
My car is in sig with t tops and i had a passenger which was about 128
I just fulled the gas tank to the max. I have a spare and jack in it and I'm far from being skinny lol.

He was by himself and about average size i guess.

I haven't had my car dynoed yet but it runs seemingly well. new opti ,plugs ,wires and etc everything new except the fuel pump and a few minor things. Has alittle stumble around 1500.

Sounds like the Vette driver sucked. It should have been a much closer race for him. Good kill anyway!

Sounds like you ran against a 90-91 L98 240hp Vette.

Maybe, They look basically the same from 90-96 though right ? It had c5 type thin spoke rims.

Motor Trend got a 13.9 out of a stock L98 Vette and a stock LT1 Vette. Both stick shifts.

An LT1 should have run right there with you, maybe a car behind you. An L98 should have been behind by 2-3 at the most. 8 is a little much. Maybe the guy had other issues or something. Good kill though.

Re: Question about a kill Me vs. older vette

I dunno maybe my car is running better then i thought lol. I thought they ran like 13.9 -14.5 depending on year and all . A friend has one and went 14.2 his best stock (92). I thought with my mods it should be about right ? Isn't 8 cars about .8 in the 1/4 ? So if he ran say 14.0 i might pull off a 13.2? I mean i've seen faster times for full bolt ons, rockers, stall. I dunno maybe his car was running like crap lol. It looked like the 96 in the post above but diff color and was clean so it looked like it was taken care of.

ive beat 2 lt1 vettes at my local track, they ran a 14.1 and 13.9
one blue one silver

both auto's, and i saw the motors when they poped the hood in the staging lane.

so i think its very possible u beat one.
