Why does it seem like all the LT1's in here have to post kills only about Ls1's? Does that make them feel better? i understand that lt1s are quick my brother had one and he and me always wanted ls1's...

 

i have a 94 z28 manual 6 speed, and i recently drove a 2001 z28 a4, the ls1 auto felt faster than my car.

 

i beat 4 of them at the track yesterday..........so its not like they can come in here and post a kill story about me.

 

Because alot of LSX guys are jerks...some of them are not...but a chunk are...

Want to see a bent LS1 guy...watch one as my Lightning pulls away hard in their touted sweet spot...a highway roll.

Years ago I was running 11.9's at the time and some guy with his LS1 was telling me how bad he beats LT1's among anything else on the road (so what) and how he has never been remotely challenged on the street or at the track. As luck would have it, we raced and his blistering 13.7 (if it was even that) was so close to me...then the moron had the gump to tell me he was pulling me down...yeah, every 101 mph car pulls down a 115 mph car.

But to each their own in the end...

cuz everytime a super-modded LT1 beats and LS1 he's like, "ZOMG I BEAT AN LS1 LET ME TELLZ EVERYONE ON THE INTRAWEB ABOUT IT LOL!!!11"

Seriously, who cares?

Mod for mod, an LS1 is faster, period.

And its not impossible for a slightly more modded LT1 to beat a stock or lightly modded LS1.

Just accept those two points, move on, and stfu.

Thanks for all the responses. i mean i have raced like 5 LT1's and beat them all in my stock LS1 but i dont go around telling everyone about it.....But i mean my point is that there should be more mustang kills coming from camaros than camaros vs. camaros... Because most of my family are Ford lovers and i have seen mustangs boards and i dont see them posting a *** load of mustang kills... Is it just camaro guys?

Reason why he says that is because he's right. For being apart of the F Body club... you're quite quick to downtalk the LT1 (Not you, just most LS1 owners i've talked too).

Which is crazy because how can you downtalk LT1s when you can see one like mine right front you (Talking literal now). Stock castings LT1 making some damn good power... that's why he gets mad. I honestly don't care because spanking LS1s is a thing of the past now

I like to do it for the sole purpose of that it ****'s ls1 owners off. They are the ones saying that ls1 is GOD! its fun getting under their skin. If you post an Lt1 vs. ls1 kill the ls1 guys come flying in to defend the ls1 its so funny.

 

i like both styles and dont talk trash about ltx, or any other car because you never know what you are going to line up against. now if you (whoever) talks smack and i destroy you like the race cantonracer was talking about, then i will rub it in, but i would expect that if i talked sh*t and then lost, i know i am going to hear it. as far as ls1 being god, god must change forms to me then, lt1,lt4,ls1,ls6,ls7, ls7x warhawk, 572ci bb.

as far as getting under the skin, why? that would make open and acceptable to lsx owners picking on the stock lt1 owners and saying you run yesterdays engine, get a real engine. i just thought as f-body owners we were supposed to stick together and pick on the fords and imports!?!

the ones that do it are mostly kids , like the guy agreeing with you in the above post. they need a child filter on here ,then things might change lol. i have killed ls1's and a 03 cobra (cars been down for over a year now, but coming back very soon) the only kill i think (notice i say think) i posted was the 03 . 125 shot killed him and on motor vs his boost it was a dead lock. oh well some of them will grow up, one day. the others will end up dead or in jail.

I have owned an LT1 and an LS1 as you can see. I HATED LS1s until I owned one. It is a superior product. Sorry, it just is. More horsepower per CI, better material, better engineering, etc. I'm not trying to talk smack. I have been on both sides of the fence, I can make the judgement and not be some one-sided a-hole.

Lets rewind about 10 years ago... Did all the LT1 guys get pissed when some third gen came on here that was bone stock and was saying "OOOOO I JUST SMOKED AN LT1 blah blah blah"? Wish this board was around back then. The LS1 is the newest thing on the block, so all the older gens are going to try and show that they can still top it. I dunno, just throwing ideas here.

Oh, and to Chris, since you want to get all personal and cocky claiming to be faster then me... congrats. I have owned this car for a month, but I'm pretty sure I make more money then you, so when I get a chance to build it up, I guess I'll just come out of nowhere and talk about how I'm faster then you.

Also, please point out to me exactly where I "downtalked" about an LT1 in my first post? I made a few general statements that are generally true. (funny concept huh?) I didn't post "LT1 IS SLOW TRASH" blah blah. Give it a rest. Some of you have admitted that you just post about beating LS1s to **** off LS1 guys.....yea,... thats cool? Should we do the same then make fun of you when you defend your motor?

I have seen LS1 guys get defensive and I have seen the LT1 guys antagonize. Making threads like this and posting what you guys have posted, you're the pot calling the kettle black.

 

As you see i own an LT1 and i do admit that the ls1 is a overall better built engine like wheel man. Thats what technology is for to advance so over the years yea ur gonna get a better engine then an older year (in most cases) but all you LS1 owners get on the defensive the second you hear an LT1 beat an LS1.....IT IS VERY POSSIBLE. I posted a kill i had against a LS1 and they all jumped down my throat even though it was the truth. The point is the LS1 is a better engine then LT1 stock for stock (obviously) but with some mods (depending what they are)a LT would dominate over the LS1. just because it comes stock as inferior engine doesnt mean it will always be that way and yea there isnt anything wrong with competition but we should be targeting fords and imports for the most part, not fellow chevy's...the end

I agree with what you say, as my original statement in this thread WAS along these lines.

Also, I don't think an LT1 is "inferior". I thought it was a great motor. An LS1 is just newer technology that takes advantage of having slightly more potential. Technology is how the world works, it gets better with time.

I also agree with Chevy > Ford. QFE on that big time.

I never said that a modded LT1 can't ever legitmately beat an LS1. But everyone seems to get pissed over my statement that "MOD FOR MOD, AND LS1 WILL BE FASTER". If a same mod LT1 beats a same mod LS1 because it isn't running to its potential, is that a kill? Congrats, you beat a broke car then. Why is everyone getting mad over spilled milk?
