haha I know Camaros are supposed to hand them their asses, but I figured I'd share. I was on my way to drop off my car at the shop tonight (just for o2's) and I came up on a Hemi truck. I didn't think anything of it (actually, I was kinda disappointed that I didn't come up next to a Mustang or something cooler) but then when it turned green, he floored it so I played along......we went for a good 1/8 mile or so, then shut down....of course he was behind me.....the part I thought was pretty cool was that when I put my blinker on to turn into the parking lot, he went by and beeped....so I beeped back.

Nothing special, but kinda cool nonetheless. The most action I've seen in a few weeks.

It should arrive any day now....I put the order in from SLP but it was backordered....so I cancelled it and got it from Summit.....for a considerably cheaper amount.

4500lbs?? My '94 Full Size Bronco weighs about that much and that's a small-a$$ed truck. That ram weighs around 6k, maybe more.

 

If it's a 1/2-ton it doesn't weigh that much.

I never heard the end of how heavy my Stealth was. With me in it, it varied from 4030 to 4070 lbs. Funny how nobody mentioned it after the first run of the night

 

man the "HEMI" rams ant S***.my dad had one....but he turned it in for the 4.7.....the "HEMI" sucks.....but good kill

Head to head 1991 454 Silverado 4x4 (mine) and his 04 Hemi ram, I won until 55

Wow thats one of the numbest things I've heard. The HEMI destroys the 4.7 is all aspects. Maybe he couldn't afford payments on the HEMI.

 

I dont think the weight varies that much between the different load vehicle's

 

I know I'm a little late posting, but my 2004 Ram 1500 regular cab w/ a hemi and 20's weighs 5020 lbs and my brothers quad cab weighs 5200. So now theres no more guessing. And also I had a 4.7 before my hemi and the 4.7 would barely tow my racecar & trailer. Took all it had. My hemi does it effortlessly.

 

heh, I wouldn't bag on the trucks to much... Seen a Cummings ram waste a 350 V8 s-10. Around here in Idaho trucks are more popular with the winter snow and all, and some people here really have some fast trucks. Was riding in a friend's brother's new Mustang V8 kind, a f-350 super cab diesel gave it a real run for the money. They usally put wide off road tires on them, so they can floor it and not worry about wheel spin... Anyway, yeah I assume in the sunny states trucks are pretty lame racers, used to live in california, never saw any of them racing... Here, that's all I see, I hear some engines rev and look over and see a big duramax or cummings ram hammering it against a little sports car and actually pulling on it, seriously, eveytime I hear the distinct sounds of racing a truck is involved... Should try and get a video of boon's truck racing...

Nice kill! Should come up here and shut down some of these truck guys... Making us look bad.
