I'm not talking about a little wheelspin in 1st. I am talking about monster wheelspin in 1st and then hit 2nd and fishtail back and forth for 4 seconds at 50 mph while almost hitting the wall. That's what happened to me last time at the track.

Mainly because we cant get enough traction to even have a "problem" the traction doesnt even exist

It just gets worse with more power

Right. Stock Civics really have serious traction issues. Ever lay 4+ seconds of rubber at 45 mph going into 2nd gear while slewing from side to side with a stock Civic? Didn't think so.

Youve never seen drive my civic in a a 200* hairpain at 75 mph have you?

Okay tell you what....launch a 350whp FWD car and tell me when you find Mr. Traction......I'll be at the booth ready to hand your slip including your 2.6 60'

From a roll FWD are inherently more stable because the front end is pushed down by the wind..the faster you go the more weight ends up over the front wheels...whereas a RWD car experiences less weight over the rear wheels the faster they go and therefore become more unstable the faster they go

Another safety feature of FWD for drivers with itchy steering reflexes.....

Drag racing - straight....they lose traction more so from a stop...especially with more power...its just phyics....thats what I was talking about

Hmmm soo...if front wheel drive cars are more stable because the front end is pushed down by the wind.....then why do all u rice kidz had huge *** spoilers...hmmm......doesnt make sense to me.....kinda cancels eachother out....

Yep! And those cheaply lowered ricers with camber so horrible you can SEE the wheels tilted! How in the hell do they expect to get traction?

There is a big difference between the pros and the wanna-bes, domestic or import. It amazes me that people sink over $3000 into a killer sound system, paint, and bodywork, but have a $150 CAI for their engine.

i don't think 14 second cars understand traction issues

Ohh boy, here we go again, and Sergio, this thread is about cars, not world economics.

Glad you could chime in with absoloutely nothing to say ....way to go

A rear wing can be used by ANY car....rear wings are mainly used for braking stability when entering turns and canceling out lift...all cars experience lift but with RWD it can dangerous because you lose traction over the drive wheels...reduces acceleration and increases the chance of going into the wall

The wing over the front end was probably done to imulate an MR2 built in 1996 that could run 0-180mph in 25-26 seconds....the ricer probably though it just looked cool

So rear wings can be used by all cars mmmK....now whether a 16 sec wonder needs a 3ft wing with little usable downforce is another subject

Trust me, with these rear tires on a track with a lot of rubber on it, I have traction problems. I'm sure it's all to do with the tires and suspension, though.

Sergio, did someone hack your account?

What about the weight of the entire car shifting to the REAR under accelleration!?
Remember the MR2 is a mid engined car....very little weight over the front wheels.....when doing 150+mph the car experiences front end lift....the wing was added for increasing weight and downforce over the steering wheels of the car...

What they should have done was design a better front splitter but the skiped that and added the wing...
