Yes I do. A couple months ago in 5.0 magazine they did a test of the new 3 valve heads. They flowed worse than both sets of 4 valve Cobra heads, the '96-'98 and '99+ heads. This was comparing stock for stock and ported to ported of course. Also the 2 valve heads flowed worse than the 3 valve and 4 valve heads. Just what one would expect.

obviously, more vavles does not automatically mean better flow.

I dont expect too much from the 05. Ford Techs say it wil be able to run with a Stock MAch 1. but i doubt it. i hit 13.1 with my mach. and seeing that video, even tho it is a auto GT... i still dont expect the manual GT's to be competition. im not hating on the GT's but they dont impress me, thats why i went with the mach... and i dont look back.

There's a guy on Mustang World that just got a 05 5spd off the dyno.
275hp/292ft lbs.......not bad.
We'll see.

Steve Y, here's what you might be talking about. I posted it earlier, but maybe you missed it:

jthomas, sure, more valves don't automatically mean better flow, but it's certainly what I would *expect* -- otherwise, what's the point?

I don't think you're suggesting that it's in any way odd to *expect* more valves (from the same MFR) to mean better flow. Are you?

Page not found. But it is probably the same article as was in the magazine I saw.

Looks like a good move....VTC with an extra valve....not a 4v but still better. They also mentioned "D" shaped exhaust ports. And the intake ports are larger, rectangular shaped ones vs the old square ones & have raised runners.

not to shabby IMO. Its an improvement, since the new cobra/shelby/whatever could get VTC. But, the kind of VTC thats on the 05, the intake and exhaust valve timing is altered together, not indepentently. It would have been cooler if the intake and exhaust valves were altered seperately...more efficiency...but more complex to manufacture...

Hey cool. Competition for all those bone stock LT1s now.

Seriously though, that isn't bad. That's nearly 1 rwhp/CID. Anyone have a weight for these new GTs?

Really?
Looks like about 20-30rwhp more than most LT1's in a better car.

Please show me a dyno from a bone stock LT1 making over 260hp, let alone 275.
My GT an 03 is more than enough stock to stock for a LT1.

Edit: The video that is posted here is old too. Been on the Corral for a while, they said the guy just babied the thing down the track. Dont really know for sure, dont care either really.
I'm waiting till 07-08 for my next car, really want to see the new Z28, an see what Dodge does with the Charger.
So far, I've heard the Charger is only going to be offered in a 5spd automatic, and weight around 4k pounds.......

The Mustang also gained some weight there. IMO it will still be a driver's race, although I think that maybe the new gt will have a slight edge over the lt1 instead of the other way around. How many lt1s are stock now anyway? They seem to be getting as bad as the 5.0s, you never know what you're gonna get.

Current GT with an LT-1 is a drivers race stock, the new one is putting out 40 more HP to the wheels and does not weight much more than the current GT. Let's see what the #'s are when the car has been out a few months.

Lighten up fellas, I was messing with you. Besides, as GreenDemon mentioned, how many bone stock LT1s are there in the world?

Anyone got a link to the 05 that's supposedly making 275 rwhp?
