My 95 Formula vs. 87 Gta

Im kind of friends with this kid. Been a few years since ive seen him and apparently word got around about my car, but him and his import friends thought he would smoke me even after i beat their hero (crx supercharged) that they thought was in the 12's .. (way off).. Ok anyways we head back to a road around my house that has about a half mile straight stretch and about a quarter of the way down it i pull out . get beside him at about 55.. Put it in 3rd because after i got beside him we was going faster . But we slowed down.. motioned him to go.. i knew it woulndt be very close so i let him get about a second start on me and punched it .. It bogged down a little as he kept pulling for a second.. Then i got back up in the rpms and shifted into 4th and left him about 5 car lengths back in about an 1/8th mile run.. We pull in somewhere.. He pulls beside me and says .. Dude i think i can get you .. Lets go from a stop .. I know i can get you . ?? what is with the ignorance?

with a tuned port 350 and good gearing, it could be close down low...but it will suck wind in the top end.

race from a stop, but do a full 1/4mi to make sure the outcome is in your favor.

the TPIs were beasts on short street races...even the 305s were putting out ~300 lbs of torque...and at low rpm.
