my 93 vs 2000 C-5

coming home from school i was going calmly back home, then i noticed some vette taillights. after about a mile we hit a red light, i look over and we both know whats going down. light turns green i slowly accelerate waiting for him to gun it, he baits and were off. he down shifts and gets a fender on me, but i quickly caught up and pulled 1/2 car in front of him(about 70mph). were went like that till about 105mph and he started to slowly pull. when we shut it down 115mph, he had a fender on me and was still pulling slowly. we both slowed down gave him the thumbs up and go our ways. the vette was a 6-speed and prolly had no mods, it looked totally stock. i was pretty happy that i didnt get creamed too bad, but if i had my 3.73's(under the bed ) installed it would have been a little more interesting. nothing really to brag about, but i just thought i would share it w/ you guys

Good runs, w/ your mods he would be a handful to hold off in the upper rpms

Re: my 93 vs 2000 C-5

to tell you guys the truth this is the first time i have ever raced an LS1 on the street. i really dont street race too much but, i wanted to see where i stand vs newer cars. in no way is my car a really fast car, but when people ask me if my car is fast i tell them its respectable. i dont really brag about my car but im glad i can hold my own against most cars around town. most of the time i like to challenge 12 sec. cars at the track just to see how much more i need to break into the 12's. on average i usually get beat by about 3-4 cars given the other guy is running low 12's. most of my close races have been against bolt on LS1's, and they freak when i tell em i have headers/stall/slicks. reason being is most LT1's run high 13's w/ headers/gears/cai/pulleys/tune, and im running low 13's w/my mods most of us always joke around and say i have the advantage cuz i have speed density . hopefully in two weeks after i get my gears installed, and buy some skinnies i'll finally get my first 12 second slip

street demon2k3, for a reason that I have never been able to figure out, a lot of '93 LT1's are among the fastest LT1s out there. Maybe it's because they don't use an MAF, maybe some other reason, but they often are surprisingly fast.

BirchMan98z, I agree with Antz... I don't understand the point you were trying to make. Sarcastic? Then I'd expect the use of something like
