Pontiac GTP vs 1994 Z/28

Well I was coming home tonight from getting a few things and turned left onto the main strip. The car across from me turned right behind me and immediately flew up beside me. It was a dude and his girl in a nice looking newer black GTP. I thought nothing of it and didnt feel like wasting the gas messing with him. So I turned off onto the highway and saw the GTP pull a U-turn to follow me. Alright I thought I'll give him a few lessons. So I let him catch up on the highway and get beside me. I waited for him to hit it and give him a one car lead and then I stomped it. I pulled right up to him on the downshift and pulled past easily. I shut it down before I embarrassed him too much infront of his girl, and he got in behind me a few car lengths back. Go fight, good night I thought. But no, a second wind, he pulls up beside me again and takes another jump at it, again I hit it and it wasnt pretty this time, him not having a lead. Chalk up another kill for the LT1, but I give respect to Pontiac for the GTP's. I wouldnt mind having one for a longer drive/winter car.

A GTP needs exhaust, intake, and smaller pulley to get into stock LT1 range. Guy I know has one with those mods and he pulled a 14.0 1/4 mile out of his rear. He got excited when I told him I had a Z/28...he said "Hey I think I could beat that Z/28 of yours" Then I asked if how deep in the 13's he was and he lost his smile. Again cool cars in my opinion. Thanks for the replies.

I wish I would have had the chance to race from a stop or low speeds, instead of 60+, cause I can show of my torque
