MUSTANG Scare??

Ok guys, I have a buddy w/ a 95 mustang gt, i beleive, Its the last year they offered the 5.0. Anyway, last year he had all bolt ons, headers, exhaust, intake, etc. I swamped him all last year, his best time was a 15.00 at 94 i think was the mph. This year he did a heads, cam swap, Trick Flow heads, not to sure on the cam, he showed me the dyno sheets, he's putting down 285 hp and 310 ft lbs to the wheels. He's manual, those numbers seem kinda low, anyway, my best time to date w/ my mods on my sig are 13.3 @ 105 mph, we are going to the track friday and i dont want to be embarrassed. can he go from 15.0 to a 13.0 from h/c swap. Im kinda scared but the dyno numbers dont lie. Who will win??

Hmmm...i agree those numbers seem rather low for the amount of money and work he has in that car. What kind of tires is he on?

Actually, those numbers seem high to me. Short of FOrced induction those mod 4.6's dont respond well to mods. The 95 was a dog to start with and I would be suprised if he made 200hp to the wheels stock.

the non-PI mod motors arent nothing special but add ported PI heads and cams and an intake with the appropriate bolt ons and they will run 11s NA just like an fbody will. but this one isnt a mod motor, its the pushrod 302 still.

Re: MUSTANG Scare??

If those were my numbers I would be pissed...my friends 95 went high 13's on stock H/C...he's a hell of driver though...and I think the cars a little gifted...so if I were betting I would bet against you normally but those dyno numbers kinda suck IMO...should be fun though...

Re: MUSTANG Scare??

Thats what i thought, i would just love to put his car to shame with all the cash he has in it . Last year i walked his *** by 15-20 cars in the quarter w/ a cai. He showed my the dyno sheets at 285 hp and 310 tq to the wheels, i was like, hey those look like my numbers on stock h/c. lol.

Re: MUSTANG Scare??

with those numbers ...at BEST...he's a mid 13 second car. It could be a good race ...but I think you still got him. Gues you better start throwing a few more mods on...

Re: MUSTANG Scare??

With his mods he should beat you. With his Dyno numbers it should be neck to neck.

Re: MUSTANG Scare??

I swear those 5.0 stangs are a bunch of dogs stock, and only a little better with some mods. I think youll still whoop up on him, he sounds like he's not the greatest driver in the world. But the only way you'll find out for sure is to go race him

Re: MUSTANG Scare??

his dyno #'s seem pretty stout and i would say that he might be a close race for you. so just drive like a bat out of hell!
