Modded C4 verse modded SRT-4??????

My friend wants to run his Neon SRT-4 turbo against my 1985 vette, I would appreciate some input as to how this will turn out. We will run at the 1/4 mile drag strip.
2004 Neon SRT-4
-bigger turbo 21 pounds of boost
-intercooler
-downpide, etc.
-chip
-injectors
-probably nitrous
-slicks
-possibly more mods

I have no idea what the SRT-4's are running with these sort of mods but without the nitrous I would imagine mid to low 12's and 11's with nitrous.

My car 1985 corvette.
-about 440 hp built carbed 350, 3.91 gears, 700R4 with a 2000 stall converter, street tires.
I think I should run mid to low 12's fairly easy. I ran 12.6 and 12.7 with a XE-230/236 roller cam and 20 degrees total advance with 0 degrees at idle. I now have 15 degrees at idle and 38 total timing and a XE-236/242 roller cam with 110 degree lobe separation.

What do you guys think?

if you're not at least running drag radials you might be in for some trouble. Unfortunately, I underestimated the ability of small ricey cars to attain traction with slicks/dr's....I got smoked The BIGGEST factor when it comes to two high-powered cars, like your C4 and his SRT, is the driver....that being said....go kill him.

Does he have any engine work done? More boost + nitrous seems like a lot of stress on that engine.

Re: Modded C4 verse modded SRT-4??????

He doesn't have any internal mods to the motor, from the factory they are all forged internals but I'm thinking he might run into trouble with his driveshafts and fuel system. I think my car will be in the low 12's and I can't wait to find out how his car runs. If he beats me then I'll have to get a 100 shot of nitrous to play along. Anymore guesses are welcome as to this outcome.

The pistons are cast, but they are Mahle. 5.0's are forged from the factory though

The engine in the SRT-4 is very, very stout. Nitrous is not a problem.

Then don't try to make your Mustang look like it has something my car doesn't, mister!

EDIT: Well, yours might...but the ones I mentioned don't!
