Well one of my friends got a stock white T/A LT1.. all that i know it has is Flows and the person before him put a WS6 style hood on it vs. me (see sig)


Anyways we go from about a 30 punch and we hammer it. I bearlly pull on him and then when we get to around 80ish maybe 90 he freakin pulls.. jumps about 3/4 of a car infront of me and then we shut down.

Then the next is from a stop We take off both fighting for traction and stay about dead even through most of 1st and then i slowly start pulling and about every shift i pull a little and up to 100 i have HALF a car on him and we shut off around there but i think he was starting to pull a little, although he may have not have i wasn't really looking at this point.

Idk if it could be because i have a friend in the car (weights around 140) pulse the subs and amp which i beat dont even weight 80 pounds together, but i cant see it making up that much of a difference. Either way I give him Props and has a nice car. Should be getting my headers on within the next month and new plugs and wires.


Do you guys think his car is stock?? or is that just one hell of a factory freak..?? He thought i was going to beat him bad, but i thought otherwise.

 

well its not like your heavliy modded, i mean looking at everything you have listed it just boils down to exahaust and cold air. You already said he had a flowmaster set up and an aftermarket ram air hood, so its prety safe to assume you guys are close on mods hence the close race. I could see if you had some serious mods and he was bone stock down to the paper air filter and came wizzin by ya than id call a factory freak, but in this case?? just some quality cars having a close race, have fun keep it safe, thanks-Mike

 

Yea i know i'm not really modded at all thats why i wasnt expecting to destroy him or anything, Really i was only expecting about a car. He has the ram air hood but its not functional. I was just suprised that he would pull up top like that.

 

pretty similar w/ mods, same engine, and all cars run differently..sounds right

ya i see your confusion, i mean camaros are supposed to be lighter, OBD2 lt1s are supposed to put out 10more hp than 94/93s not to mention your functional air intake vs his dummy set up. one would think u would have had the upper hand up top but instead it was the exact opposite. maybe someone who had previously owned the car snuck a set of gears in or something just a thought, chances are though jsut 2 close performing lt1s now u and your buddy need to go out cruising around with your cars and find some nice horses *** to bite

 

Does he have an M6, maybe that would help him pull you from a roll because he could be in better power range. But if he has flows all you have on him is the cai, and being as every car is different I am not surprised that he stayed with you. Good runs.

 

Naw its an a4 with 100k miles on it. Mine has aroudn 72K. I just figured i would have a little bit of an upper hand like Firebirdmike said.

 

Some run better then others. My best friend had a stock 96Z28 that used to whoop my LT1 formula wich had half the miles and a few more mods. Both where auto's.
