So did I but here is one time slip. In one thread on another forum I even argued that it was not possible.

That's high. I've owned 3 auto LT1's and run with a couple local vette groups at different tracks around the SE and average for the auto LT1 is 99 or so. I've seen very few go faster than 101. Most 6 spd owners would count themselves lucky to hit 103 in fact. At least down here in the south.

103mph was not a problem in my A4 when my car was all stock. This was several years ago when I was new to drag racing. Maybe the track or weather is better down here. Elevation was 12' on one and 21' on the other track. The only time I remember running the 1/4 below at least 100mph was when my throttle cable was loose at only 89% throttle. My 60' times were the best they ever were though. I agree that 107 sounds unbelievable.

At 107mph it was probably a LT4 C4 Vette (1996).

In an auto configuration they were well capable of mid 13's on stock everything. Most guys would cut the baffles on the stock air box and pull the filter.

Iced down they should trap mid 13's with 103 or better mph.

BTW...SSRRR...you suck bish

Quite possible. LT4's have been known to run 110mph through the traps in the DFW area (750ft ele). Couldn't imagine what one would run at Cecil or MIR w/ the glorious racing weather around here.
What have you been up to? Where's BlackonCrack Boobbert? I miss that little guy!

Wink

Last I heard he was a gator wrestler.

Not much new for me other than moving to the eastern shore and driving a Silverado. The new Camaro looks pretty good, might be in the future plans if things continue to go well at work. Whats up in your (red)neck of the woods.
