Me -vs- 350z

Coming to work around 8:45am.. im cruisin and see a couple of RICERS. My Favy!
There's a RSX with the fart-can + body kit and a clean lookin Silver 350z, it has a bunch of "NISMO" stickers on it + Licence plate frame (= 50+ HP) .
From the back, i can see a pretty nice Catback system. So I get next to it and look over.... its a CHICK!
I dropped it to 2nd and sped past her, she joins the chase and gets behind me.
I was suprised, from my rear view mirror, I could see a air-vent type hole in the front of the hood.. For a COLD AIR kit im guessing.
We eventually get to a light. Im in the far right lane, she in the far left with a car between us. I nail it at the light, and leave about 10 lengths between us, I dont think she knew we were racing... guess she forgot about the part where she rode my *** for 2 blocks.
Anyway, I slow down, let her catch up and punch it.. I pulled her by about 3/4 (little more) of a car by about 75-80 before we had to slow down due to traffic.
I was just impressed with 2 things..

1 - it was a girl (asian)
2 - how well she kept up from a roll....

I guess full exhaust and a semi-ram / cold-air intake really wakes those DOHC 6 cylinders up!

I wonder where she lives.. I want a rematch from the line!

Intake and exhaust don't wake them up enough to compete with a car like yours. I'd say you got sprayed. With intake and exhaust it's still a mid/high 13 sec. ride.

Re: Me -vs- 350z

It was nice and cold that morning. Id say that it was an NA -vs- NA but.. I can't be sure about that.

I just dont know much about the 350 Z's or their Infinity counterpart.

Anyone had a run-in with these.

She had NOTHING on me at the line... it was silly... totally ridiculus.. So I can only guess she WAS NOT racing me..... otherwise... I might pee my pants from laughing so hard.. what a B-Otch. HA!

I'll have to agree with this or some type of power adder, unless you had a 2x4 under your gas pedal. You should have pulled like crazy on her, hell I should have pulled on her good too.

Re: Me -vs- 350z

I was able to pull a six speed 350Z pretty soundly on the interstate when I only had an intake, headers and exhaust. Sounds to me like you got sprayed or she had some forced induction. Bolt on mods do almost nothing for those cars, when they first came out, dynos showed them actually *losing* power when aftermarket intakes and exhausts were added.

Talk about a money pit, why would anyone spend lots of cash on anything that does nothing or hurts HP. Oh wait, thats why all those ricers have fart cans, wings, and carbon fiber everything, with ultra white lights

Hell yes, it was either spray or that opening you saw in the front was for the turbo or s/c and since you dident hear a s/c i bet u were racen a turbo 350z.

I havent seen one of those things at the track even get into the 13's. I'm sure its possible but they are pretty slow for the most part........I love pounding the hell out of them. I'm sure one wll come along like the Supra I raced on the 55frwy. It was ugly for me I think it had 678,000 horsepower

My brother has a 03 enthusiast edition 350. His best is 13.68@102....and he's a hell of a driver....so I'd say that's about tops for them.

Never, never race a supra on the highway You'll almost always come away with your feelings hurt
