how do you think i would stack up to a 00 mustang cobra with a procharger pushing 9lbs and supporting mods? will it be close or will i get my *** handed to me?

my mods are in sig, havent been to track with new motor yet so i dont know what i run, but im hoping to be somewhere in the 12's

2000 cobras came from the factory with a 4.6 n/a. in 2003 the cobra got supercharged from the factory and the n/a cobra was replaced by the mach 1. If you can beat a 03 cobra you might be able to beat that 00 your talking about.

 

There was a 2000 Cobra. DOHC 4.6 320-330 hp N/A. Many people that buy them do eventually throw a blower on them. One with a procharger @ 9 lbs should be at least a mid 12 second car. Maybe even low 12's with a set of gears and slicks.

 

The only '00 Cobra is the R, with the 5.4L and a tall spoiler.

 

I wouldn't mind having one. Just have to put a different spoiler on it. Oh, and do something about the side exit exhaust.

 

The Cobra was not made in 2002. In 2000 they made the following:
Coupe
Convertible
GT Coupe
GT Convertible
Cobra Coupe
Cobra Conv.
Cobra R

2002:

GT vert.

 

My understanding was that 99' and 01' had an na DOHC 4.6 with 320hp. 00' was just the Cobra R with an na 5.4 with 380hp, 02' was none, and 03' and 04' had supercharged 4.6 with 390hp. Btw the 99' and 01' had an IRS that was less than great for drag racing. I could be wrong but this... whatever year your racing should pull like an 03'-04' which is to say pretty hard.

 

I might be wrong about the 2000 model year.
