lt1 vs foxbody

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

iam stopped at a light and didnt notice a foxbody 2 cars over. anyway when we go at green i can hear him and he jumps out. sweet so we are in traffic and he is now on my right and he jumps forward real quick. then i get next to him again and look over and floor it! then i slow down, look over and his passenger is countin 321 with his fingers. so we go at about 50 roll in think, and we are side by side till 85 and then traffic comes up. so we mess around a lil more then get to alafaya. i get next to him to turn left. i ask what he has done, he say gt40 heads with big cam , and he just bought it. probably all the bolt ons as well. says he is puchin 350 hp( not sure if that is to the wheels or fly) probably fly though. so we turn left going about 20 i say wanna do one more run, sure, so passenger does same thing as b4. we both go, no tire spin. both shift at same time, he does a granny shift, and a shred the tires for a sec. then we go to about 70 and side by side again. it was a damn good race, love it when they are that close. hope u enjoyed!

It's amazing that you found a stang down there in Florida to race. I go to Orlando once or twice a year to see family, and all I see are ricebuckets. That's no exaggeration either, I saw maybe one Camaro, and it was stock, and maybe two Mustangs and they looked stock too- but there were more hooked up Hondas and other Japanese cars than I could count. It really made me want to have my car down there, but we flew in the last time so it wasn't possible.

Nice runs.

Ahhh yes... a bolt-on heads/cammed 5.0L Ford running side-by-side with a few hundred bucks worth of bolt-ons on an LT1. How typical. I'd say you're just over that 300hp mark, maybe 310 with your mods, at the flywheel. Funny, a more modified, higher horsepower, lighter car couldn't pull on a relatively stock slowmaro Chalk another one up for the LT1
