It was a 95 or so Mustang GT that sounded REALLY nice. But it seems like all of the mustangs here sound good. But anyways he saw me fishtail coming out of the light so he figured he wanted to give it a run. So he got up next to me and revved, i revved back and slowed down to 55 in third gear.........(with my 4.10's its like 4500 or so) and waited for him to punch it. Right when i thought he wasnt going to bite he floors it. I immediately start pulling and never look back. I shut it down at the top of 4th gear, around 110 ish. He was atleast 5 or 6 cars back..LOL. After that we were next to each other at the stop sign and he asked what kind of exaust i had and i replied "open". He was really cool and it was a fun race. My first race since getting my car back from the shop since my brother totalled it.... It's good to have the car back!

alot of those mustangs especially 96 up gts are all bark no bit....but some do bite

 

I don't understand how you get races all the time and I get plagued with like 1 race in a year. I think that my car has the AIDS! Nobody wants to get near it or swap exhaust with it . I guess that's good though since they have that strict new law though.

I have a few things I have to tweak before I can race. Probably be a week or two before I fix everything. As far as having a cam, when I start it up, you tell me if you hear a cam or not.

of course there is..but it sounds meaner than it really is

Yeah I can't wait to race some GTs or a new Cobra, I want to see how I do against a new Cobra w/ my new setup. Also...is it just me....or what? Check this out: Why is it when you are driving your gf's car do you always come up to some Mustang, or another Fbody, or a Vette, etc etc....and when we are in my car, it just doesn't happen near as often!

 

Yeah that tends to happen to me too..........but somehow i always get lucky with races lately...

Either you cant drive worth **** or anywho.........No offense......but i looked at your sig a little better........with just gears a 99+stang will hand you your as$ in the 1/4..........only gears, just a heads up..........by your time.......good luck.........

Actually, the time in my sig is BEFORE cam, gears etc.......i think i am decently quicker now, plus i ran that 13.6 on ****ty tires and i stumbling opti............i am going to the track this weekend good weather permitting, with my new tires, new ignition, clutch, cam, gears, driveshaft..............i think i will be decently quicker and be able to beat a 99+ GT with "gears only"

Thats not really true. I guy i know has a 2001 GT 5 speed with 3.73's, magnaflow catback with bassani x-pipe(i think its a bassani), a steeda CAI, and a short throw shifter. He only runs a 14.25 in the 1/4. Its not crappy launches because he gets a 2.2x 60's.
