Lost to a cobra :(

Drivin on a back road when a nice cobra pulls up.

We exchange words and ask what each other has. I told him I just had an intake and exhaust and some other small mods. He said he also only had exhaust (flowmaster) and an intake. He then said he ran a 13 flat at the track. I thought to myself, yea right lets see what it really can do.

So we pull on to this road and pull even to each other goin about 30 I think. 3 honk start and we hit it. And he pretty much spanks me.

We started and were even for a little bit, but then he gradually starts just movin away from me and we ended the race goin about 90 and he probably had about 2 car lengths on me.

Oh well. Just thought I'd share. I think he had more than just exhaust and an intake, but I could be wrong.

Oh btw, I have a 95 and the cobra was a 95

the 95 cobras were 5.0L 240hp/285#

you should have waxed his ***.....he wasn't running the mods he said he was.

don't feel bad...

there is a good chance he had nitrous or something. get those mods and you'll be all over him

It's the year 2007 so any older mustang or f-body is suspect of being modded so don't feel so bad.

I can really relate to this. Whenever I have a crappy run at the track, I feel like I'm showing the whole world how lousy and slow these cars are (even if there's only like 50 people in the stands)

Yea I didnt think he was.

Especially if he ran a 13 flat.

He had one of those cowl hoods and the gauges on the inside of the drivers side window. I know that doesn't mean much, but I'm sure they were there for a reason.

The thing was nice.

But I forgot to mention that my friend pointed out he had a GT bumper.

Oh well. I may consider taking my car to a dyno and see if there are any problems.

I guess this just proves that mustangs are better than camaros

to most mustang owners (that ive ever met) "stock" refers to gears, shiftkit/stall (if auto), bolt ons, and occaisionally heads.
