Killed an SRT4 Nearly lost to Stealth RTTT

First race was against a 1991? Stealth RTTT 5speed. In the beginning I floored the crap out of my car and spun like hell prolly a good 20feet until it caught and I pulled him in until I was at his rear bumper and it pretty much stayed like that until the end. Stupid AWD, Prolly if I didnt punch it so hard and rolled onto it more I may have been able to edge him out or at leaste make it real even, I spun a ton so much that I started fish tailing.

Anyways second race was against a 05 SRT4 5speed stock, this time I rolled onto it more but maby a little too soft but anyhow I pulled away by a couple cars in second and in 3rd he started to catch up and then leveld off I prolly won by 3 feet or so but then we ran out of room we shutdown at like 100 something. OH yeah and the SRT4 had just a driver I had another person in my car and my big *** subbox.

Considering my car is 12 years old and 100k I was pretty satisfied with my runs especially the stealth RTTT, even tho I lost.

I'm not sure I would call winning by 3 feet, killing them. Maybe you edged out an SRT4. Nice win BTW.

Well I didnt really think he would be that fast at all so at the start I rolled until like 20 mph and punched it cuz I didnt want to destory my stoc ktires any more once I punched I flew up a few cars, If I really was going to go all out and launch my car I prolly could have won by a car length.

Well by "killed" I am not talking the literal sense, most people refer to 'kills' as a win.

I played with an SRT-4 on the highway, and pretty much neither one of us could get far away from the other doing ~100 - 120 mph! I had 2 passengers in my car, not sure about the other guy? (I don't think he had any passengers ). I think ultimately my LS1 would have longer legs if we could have kept going, but for "safety's sake" (ha!) we only had a couple short opportunities to do what we did. I'd like to take one off the line sometime and see what happens.

I imagine those 4:10's were causing your car to run out of steam up top. From down low or a stop gears kick *** but from 100mph + racing its not exactly optimum. With 3:42's I bet you would have done alot more to him.

You would probably beat it by a good 2-3 cars in the 1/4. They run 14.2's stock w/ a 5 speed. I dont think im near stock ls1 perfomance yet, and I could prolly take one by a car in the 1/4 because on the track I could just let it rip out and I wouldnt spin like a ****. When I raced the srt-4 I babied hte launch a lot up until like 20mph before I punched it cuz I had spun so much on my last race against the 3000gt. Supposably the srt-4;s are suppose to be able to pull strong after 100mph especially against and lt1. Ls1 would dominate it tho in all aspects.

Well I have raced plenty of stock 01-02 LS1's and we have been dead even from 100mph to 150mph everytime.
