I wonder how a newer Silverado would do against my younger brothers 2003 F350 Turbo diesel. It actually has some umph for a truck.

)Truck Racing ... fun as hell

lol them 460's got some nuts to them. My dads last truck was a 96 F250 Supercab or whatever the extened cab with 2 door is called. Had a 460, with headers and duel flows, sounded mean, and was pretty damn fast for a truck, probly the fastest truck I've rode in ( Not that I ride in fast trucks alot though )

I've got a buddy with a 2001 Duramax diesel. The only mod is a 4" exhaust. That thing will will smoke the tires from a start. We raced one day for the h*ll of it. First race I just floored it and smoked the tires and he shot off in 4wd. Took me a few seconds to catch him! The next race I actually launched and took him right off. That Allison transmission is a weird one though, it removes throttle right before it shifts. Even with the pedal floored it pulls throttle, shifts and floors it again.

On the highway one day we were cruising and he nailed it. That thing will get it on the highway! Very impressive for so large a vehicle. And it gets decent mileage!

Deisels are sweet ... My Dad's Ram gets good mileage too. Loaded to the bed rails going to and from our bear trip. It was a 1100 mile trip(one way) and we only stopped to fill up twice.

Filled when we left, Filled at the top of Maine, Made it from Maine to Nerepis, New Brunswick, Canada, and back to Bangor Maine, Filled there, Came back to PGH. Total was over a 2200 Mile trip. We had 200$ set aside, This was for food, gas, and a room for one night in Bangor. Room was $75, Food was probably about $35ish ( 3 guys fast food ) So Im guessing we spent between 75 ( Not including inital fill up, it was filled day before we left ) and 100$ in fuel for a 2200 mile trip in a fully loaded truck that weighed proably close to 9000 lbs ... Truck is 7600. His rack and tool box put it well over 8000, then with all our ****, and his one friend's stuff ... It was FULL. Just the say 8200lbs for rack and tools w/truck, and then 3 ppl would put it close to say 8700, so with all our stuff it was proably close to 9100 lbs ???

My brother-in-law owns a '03 Ford F-250 w/ 4x4, 4 doors and 8 ft bed. All black on black, very ferocious looking ! He says it pulls very hard and said it had 560 ft/lbs of torque! I didn't believe him so I looked up the specs on the Ford website. Found out it has 325 HP and 520 ft/lbs. I was surprised yet excited for him.
The truck still weighs ALOT so it can't be that quick in stock trim.

Anyone got 1/4 numbers on one?
