We have a forum for "kills"..... they do not belong in the "tech" forums.

Well It just is funny to me how much this car is praised for having 275hp and the guy i raced was sure we would be a dead heat all motor!!! lol....

not only did i take him all motor i f*ckn spun sideways around him bangin 1,2,3 with not much trac and still got three car lengths!!!! But i cant believe how much a dry 150shot makes him so much faster, that part sucked
but let me put a dry 150shot on my bird!!

Don't use a dry kit, get a wet kit.

He's not using a 150 DRY kit (or a wet kit for that matter) on his car unless it's extensively modified. His motor would grenade in a few sprays.

Those cars are slow as ***** (high 14s, low 15s?) from the factory.

Nice kill.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I figured he would have had to build a forged engine because a 150 shot shouldn't really be exceeded on an stock internals LT1 and if one of those little Altima engines was holding onto a 150 shot that easily then we are missing some of the details of hit setup.

Three car lengths ahead should put you at about......275bhp. and right around 13.9-14.0 where you car should be. Must be a factory freak.

Now see I thought the same thing about a 150shot on my car being a dumb idea but ive also been told and seen this being used time and time again on cars that continue to hold up to it........I really want a shot and then wax his altima to hell and back.......

I don't even know where to start.

Peak horsepower at the flywheel doesn't even begin to tell the whole story. You've neglected weight, drivetrain loss, gearing, traction, power band, torque, driver skill... just to name a few.

For the price of a good nitrous kit with all the "recommended" goodies, you could get yourself a set of LT's and a catback, a CAI and a mail order tune. Which I guarantee you would be very happy with.... not to mention you wouldn't be paying 40-50 bucks per refill on your bottle

After you've covered all your bolt ons, if you still want to throw on a shot, your car will like the nitrous even more

Just something to consider...

I don't doubt that he beat the Nissan, I find it hard to believe the rest of the details.
