Ehh, I seen some pretty quick N/A motor swap cars. My cousin is friends with a motor swapped older civic and it damn near keeps up with another kids 5.0 that ran a 13.6 at the track. Granted at the track he was on his radials and had his 5.0 short belted so he only had the waterpump going and something else but ...

This kids civic, on the street, even from a stop (Cause it hooks up nicely), almost hangs with it. It probably is a very low 14 second car. Not bad for a NA ****box car. i don't know what motor he has in it or anything but I know its pretty damn fast for how little he has into it money wise.

And if this guy is barely hooking up now, going to 4.10:s are going to kill any hopes he had of ever hooking up. Don't get 4.10's inless you have good traction now like a set of sticky tires. And for sure take this kid off the line where he is at a dissadvantage once yuo can launch your car and not just sit there baking your tires.

I think it is going to be a closer race than everyone expects ...

 

If he's NA and running on pump gas, I wouldn't expect him to have much more than 200hp to the wheels. 250 is doable if you put some effort into it; depending on the money he's spent, he could have much more. However, the more NA peak power you make in a B-series motor, the smaller the powerband usually gets.

He also has a big weight advantage: CRX's are something like 2200 lbs.

All of that said, I'll be surprised if he's faster than 13.5, and I'll bet you are if you can get traction.

 

there's alot of miss-informed people on this topic. yes we all dislike hondas, **** look at my screen name, but.... with the right mods they can have potential. **** you can get into the 13's with just a simple swap in a honda. usuasly hatchbacks since there light, but crx's are even lighter. im pretty sure there sittin around the 2000lb mark. alot of times most of these honda kids ****** rig there stuff so it's not near the potential it could be.

i say you can still take him with traction, but it will be closer then alot of people on here are saying. good luck, and video tape this for are viewing pleasure.

The ones that are left are motor swap cars. With minor weight reduction, motor swap, and bolt on's you are looking at a VERY solid 13 second car. Granted, its still gay. But none the less, it has the potential to be crazy fast for the **** box car it is.

Motor swapped cars with a Turbo kit or N20 are something you honestly do not want to **** with.

Even motor swapped cars, you need to think about very wisely before you put money where your mouth is. They can be fast.

In this case though, I think you will win. Don't expect to blow past him like he is your typical rice boy who is begging, no, pleading, for an *** raping on his ego though.
