Get headers on there and you'll have a strong runner

LT1' do not run 98-100 stock in Arizona either then. Unless you compare a FI car to a NA car there is no magical thing that will make a specific NA car run better in that environment.

Stock for stock a new 350z will outrun a lt1, sadly.

But, you could fit the 350z driver's gf AND her friends in your car.

No one is bad enough today to launch from a dig. Everyone wants to go from a roll and if you ask for a dig race, they tell you to go to the track.

My LT1 ran 99mph with cai

Yeah, upper 90's was pretty common at Dragway 42 in West Salem. We usually didn't have 2,800' DA's though. I would still think that OH would be similar in July to what AZ has now when you factor in the humidity.

It's funny you mention racing from a dig. I'm somewhat surprised the STi's and Evo's won't run me from a dig, even when I'm on my street tires. It must be the funny idle.

I never said they did. What I WAS saying is that my car trapping a measly 98 is more than what they trap stock here in AZ. Stock I was 95ish I think.

Here's the scary part: Humidity has no effect on DA (though it will effect performance), but temperature has an extreme effect. In june, july, and august with all things equal (except the temp) the DA would have been 5000'

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't get a chance to run the SS in the Fall like I always did with the Z28. I'm sure there's a couple more MPH in it. I ran a couple times with temps in the 90's but 100-110+, I wouldn't waste my time. There were several occasions where the DA was so bad that I made one pass and left.

Video of the best run.
13.80@98.7 2.0 60'

The other cars and their bad night. At least I hope they know how bad these times are:

I will be going back if/when the weather actually gets cool around here. I'll also let my car cool for a couple hours and go for a 13.2 or so which I now believe is completely possible based off of this night.

I know from experience that if you start moddin VQs then you can surprise some LT1s...I have some fun with stock or mildly modded GTs and LT1s with my Maxima in the higher RPMs...FWD sucks from a launch, but those 350Zs have a hell of a hole shot, they dont spin much at all, and if he had full exhaust, intake, and a few other things he would pull on you like that. The 350Z doesnt need to be turboed, sprayed, or cammed, as someone else said it had to have been to pull you by just over a car up to 100.

With the mods you have listed 13.8 is a little slower than usual, you won't see 12's with those mods that's for sure. You're maybe looking at a 13.3-13.4 at best.

You are right. I hit 13.4

Had I gotten to run earlier in the day I would have probably hit 13.3

Too bad I didn't get 60' times. Cause that would have told me a lot more.

I don't know anything about them really, but I just thought my car should have trounced it. He was either really well modded or my car is slow as *****.

I'm going to the track this friday and it's my first time out since I've started modding my car.

It's also the first time out on DRs.

I've got:
OEM ram air intake (non WS6 car)
MadZ tune
3.42s (from 2.73s)
Cutout
3200 stall and performabuilt stage 2 tranny.

What is my car capable of? I'm hoping for a 13.2-13.4 but I'm expecting much worse now.

Can you calm my nerves somehow!?
So what exactly are you scared of ????? I'm lost.
